This book was first published in 1996 and the catch line is this:
A man with a faded, well-worn notebook open in his lap.
A woman experiencing a morning ritual she doesn't understand.
Until he begins to read to her.
A woman experiencing a morning ritual she doesn't understand.
Until he begins to read to her.
I haven't experienced such a cheesy catch line in quite a while when trying to choose a book to read. This one made me snort in the middle of the Library and then I started laughing aloud when I found out that he was "inspired" by the journals of his wife's "beloved grandparents." Really?
I feel privileged that I am reading a first edition - I think that reading it will be even more meaningful because of it.
Off to begin reading "one of the most poignant and compelling love stories you will ever read..."
